Statement from VIO.ME
Vielen Dank an Euch alle, die ihr den Spendenaufruf für VIO.ME Seife für Moria unterstützt habt!
Die frohe Botschaft zuerst: Eine erste Seifenlieferung über 1.500 € ist bereits auf Lesbos angekommen, eine zweite Bestellung über 2.000 € ist mittlerweile unterwegs. Leider ist die weiterhin notwendige solidarische Produktion vorerst ausgesetzt, da der griechische Staat und die Stromgesellschaft DEI der kollektiv betriebenen Fabrik den Strom gekappt haben. Die kurzfristig bereit gestellten Stromgeneratoren sind zu klein für die zur Produktion notwendigen Maschinen. Darum sammeln wir weiterhin Spenden, damit VIO.ME mit einem größeren Biodiesel-Generator die Produktion wieder aufnehmen kann.

Es folgt ein Statement der Arbeiter*innen von VIO.ME auf Griechisch und Englisch:
Πάνω από 1.500 σαπούνια και κρεμοσάπουνα θα μοιραστούν στους πρόσφυγες και τις οικογένειες τους που ζουν στοιβαγμένοι στο κέντρο κράτησης στο χωριό της Μόρια στη Μυτιλήνη. Οι άνθρωποι αυτοί καλούνται να επιβιώσουν σε συνθήκες που κανείς από εμάς δε μπορεί να φανταστεί και η αλληλεγγύη είναι η δύναμή τους για να τα καταφέρουν. Καλούμε τον κόσμο να στηρίξει την καμπάνια αλληλεγγύης του Beyond Europe, που ενώνει αγώνες για μία καλύτερη ζωή. Το λιγότερο που θα μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε όλοι για να καλυτερεύσουμε τις συνθήκες ζωής των ανθρώπων στη Μόρια, που έχουν καταδικαστεί από τον πόλεμο, τα συμφέροντα του κεφαλαίου και τις άψυχες κυβερνήσεις, που μόνο για το λαό δε μεριμνούν. Ανάλογος είναι και ο αγώνας που δίνουμε κι εμείς καθημερινά, οι εργαζόμενες/οι στη ΣΕ.ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ, που αρνούμαστε να φύγουμε από το εργοστάσιο και συνεχίζουμε να εργαζόμαστε και να το περιφρουρούμε, γιατί η ΒΙΟΜΕ δε θα κλείσει για δύο καλώδια, αλλά θα μείνει γιατί το ζητά η κοινωνία. Η αλληλεγγύη το όπλο τον λαών. Πόλεμος στον πόλεμο των αφεντικών.
More than 1.500 soap bars and liquid soaps will be distributed to the refugees and their families who are crammed up, living at the detention camp in the village of Moria in Mytilene, Lesbos. These people are called to survive in conditions that none of us can ever imagine and solidarity is their strength to achieve that. We call on the people to support the Beyond Europe Solidarity Campaign, which unites struggles for a better life. It’s the least we could all do to improve the living conditions of the people in Moria, who have been condemned by the war, the profits of capitalism and the lifeless governments, who clearly do not care for the people. The struggle that we, the workers at Viome Coop, give every day is similar, we refuse to leave the factory and we continue to work and guard it, because VIOME will not close for two cables, but it will remain because society demands it. Solidarity is our weapon.
